Vancouver Chapter Boxing Day 2008 (in March)
After being snowed our in December, the
Vancouver Chapter decided to re-run the 2008 Boxing Day Tour - on March
8! Fifty-one cars showed up on a chilly morning to make the
annual run around Stanley Park. After circling the park, most of
the group headed out to Port Coquitlam to visit the Teamsters Union
Freight Transportation Museum, where there was lots to see and do.
It was first time out for several cars - the Watson's 48 Cadillac and
the Findlay's 33 REO, 35 DeSoto, and 55 Cadillac. It was also the
first Boxing Day drive for 16 year old Stephen Morgan, driving his
grandfather's 55 Cadillac.
After a sunny drive, the skies clouded over and by mid afternoon snow
began to fall. By the time some members returned home, several
inches had accumulated - a fitting end to a Boxing Day tour!
